Merry Christmas Everyone

My Christmas Card Photo
I just wanted to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I have been so blessed this year and hope that each of you have been too. Although my tree was overflowing with presents, the greatest gift I recieved was to be surrounded by those that love me. For the ones who couldn't be there this year, we missed you and love you very much.

WAR EAGLE!! Iron Bowl 2007

So we've beaten the University of Alabama 6 times in a row. Although I may not have been at the game, my mommy told me how wonderful it was to witness such a great victory. Although a certain person (who will remain nameless) tried to teach me to say such awful words as "Roll Tide", you all know where my heart lies. If you don't, then just listen:

WAR EAGLE!!

How do you like that $4 Millon Loss!!
Final Score: Auburn 17, Alabama 10

Is That Jaden Under All That Hair?

HA HA HA!! My cousins thought it would be funny for me to share this picture of myself with a wig on. Trust, this will be the first and last time you see me like this. Sorry it's so blurry, but my mom couldn't control her laughter as she was taking the pic.

Is this really me??

Spongebob Jaden Pants

It is I.....Spongebob Jaden Pants!!
Well as you can see, I was Spongebob Jaden Pants for Halloween this year, and I was an absolute hit. My mom took me downtown to trick-or-treat. Every person that passed me, be it either a child or an adult, had to stop and say "Look It's Spongebob. Hey there Spongebob." I even got requested to come into one of the local salons in order for all of the stylists and clients to meet me. I also went inside of the Haunted House that they had and wasn't scared one bit. If you ask me, they should have put a little more effort into it. I also had such a good time with Alex the Devil, Brad the Ninja, and Nuri the Princess. If you haven't done so already, be sure to click on my picture above to see me in action.

The Resemblance Is Uncanny!!

OK now, people tell me all the time how much I look like my Uncle Jeremy when he was a child. I knew we had to have some similar features because good looks run in the family; however, when my mom put these two pictures side by side, I wouldn't have known who was who if it weren't for the style of clothing and the fact that one was slightly aged. I told her that we have to put this on my blog so that others could see. Boy oh boy!

Do We Really Look Alike?

Well, We're Movin' On Up!!

Today was my first day in the Toddler room at school. They're already got tons of activities planned for me. This week alone, I have water play, a slumber party, and an ice cream treat. My mommy is amazed at how fast I'm growing. I can sign the phrases mommy, daddy, eat, baby, more, and ball. I can tell you the sounds/expressions/movements that cats, dogs, horses, fish, cars, trains, tigers, butterflies, cows, sheep, ducks, and more do. I'm trying this potty training thing out, but enjoy playing with my potty more that I do using it. They only sold the musical potties in the store, so mine sings to me everytime I use it and flush it.

I can't wait for next month though. College football season starts then, and I hope my mommy will take me to a few games this year. In order to get me prepared for the 2007 football season, my aunt has even taught me how to say "War Eagle!" You know I gotta support my Auburn Tigers. I'm their Biggest Little Fan!!

My First Flight & Core Family Reunion

My First Flight
On last Thursday, I boarded a plane for the first time and headed to Syracuse, NY to attend my first Core Family Reunion. Before takeoff, I was mesmerized by all the other planes I could see out of our plane's window. Then as we became airborne, I sat back and listened to all the noises the plane made as we climbed higher and higher into the sky. Oh Boy!!! All that excitement tired me out, so I decided to take a little nap. We had a short layover in Washington, D.C., and then it was on to the next plane. Would you believe it? The same thing happened again. When we finally made it to NY I was so tired that I slept all the way to the hotel.

The reunion was a blast also. I got to meet tons of family members that I had never seen before. I ate plenty of good food, listed & danced to some great music, and even found time to go swimming. Oh yeah, my mommy and few other relatives had to bring a little down south flavor to upstate NY. They couldn't touch us on the dance floor. I also got to room with my cousin Andrew for one night and we stayed up longer than the people who were supposed to be watching us. Don't worry though, my Uncle Jeremy made sure we didn't hurt ourselves.

All in all, I had a wonderful time and look forward to seeing all of you and more in 2009!!

Happy Juneteenth!!!

Happy Juneteenth 2007
The History Behind Juneteenth:

Though the Emancipation Proclamation had been issued on September 22, 1862, with an effective date of January 1, 1863, it had little immediate effect on most slaves day-to-day lives, particularly in Texas, which was almost entirely under Confederate control. Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day Union General Gordon Granger and 2,000 federal troops arrived on Galveston Island to take possession of the state and enforce the emancipation of its slaves.

That day has since become known as Juneteenth, a name derived from a portmanteau of the words June and nineteenth. Former slaves in Galveston rejoiced in the streets with jubilant celebrations. Juneteenth celebrations began in Texas the following year.

On Juneteenth we come together young and old to listen, to learn and to refresh the drive to achieve. It is a day where we all take one step closer together - to better utilize the energy wasted on racism. Juneteenth is a day that we pray for peace and liberty for all. Juneteenth celebrates African American freedom while encouraging self-development and respect for all cultures.

Party Like A RockStar!!

Ok guys, let me give you the whole story. A few weeks ago, my mom and I were on our way to the mall and this song started playing on the radio. I began to smile and clap my hands once I heard it. Then just the other day as I was on my way home from daycare, the same song came on the radio again. All of the sudden, I started laughing, dancing, and clapping my hands in my carseat. My mom figured that I must really like this song, so she put it on her cell phone and took me over to my grandparents' house to see if I would act the same way again. Of course I did, and she also caught it on video. Check out the clips below to see me in action.

Check Out The Leaf!!

So today after I was picked up from school, my mommy took me to play at Hickory Dickory Park. We had a great time, and I even made some new friends. I walked across the bridge, slid down the slide, swung on the swing set, crawled through the tunnel, and climbed on the tractor all with my big green leaf in hand. Yeah that's right, I said LEAF. It stayed with me almost the entire time until I dropped it coming off the tractor. Oh well, it wouldn't have worked out anyways. It was a tad bit too needy. LOL!!

WalkAmerica 2007

My Mommy & Me
Today, I participated in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica for the second year in a row. WalkAmerica began in 1970, and is the oldest plus one of the most popular walking events in the nation. My grandfather raised funds in my honor again this year as a member of the Alabama Power - Auburn Team. He also defended and regained his title as top walker this year by raising over $3,000. Although the walk has already taken place, please continue to contribute to this worthy cause. You can do so by clicking on the following link.

Happy Easter

Today I learned a lot about The Easter Story. I was taught all about the arrest, trial, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. My cousin Alex did a great job of reading the resurrection story to the entire congregation at church, and my other cousin Brad even reluctantly got up and wished us all a Happy Easter. So for those of you who were not in attendace with us today, let me do the same...

Springing Into Action

Well spring is finally here and I'm ready to go outside and play. I had so much fun playing in the yard at my cousin's birthday party a few weeks ago that I didn't want to leave. It's also time for us to start going out to the playground at daycare. YES!!! The outdoors just fascinates me (and yes I said fascinate). Maybe my mommy will get the hint and take me back to Hickory Dickory Park one day.

Some of My Favorite Toys

I know you guys keep asking my mommy to send you pictures of me, but instead she's posted them online. Feel free to look at the latest pictures of me in my age 1 photo album. Keep looking back at the album for updates.
